CEREC stands for Ceramic Reconstruction and is used to create restorations that are high quality and metal-free in a single dental visit. The system uses 3D photography and CAD/CAM technology to provide holistic dentists in creating a virtual restoration, whether it be a crown, bridge, inlay, or onlay, without having to get traditional impressions from the patient. With this system and the milling unit, we are able to create and cement your dental restoration before you leave your dental chair.
Digital impressions are taken without the need for messy impression materials, and from there 3D models help guide the design of your restoration that is chiseled from high-quality porcelain to help match the natural look and feel of your teeth.
We know that time is important in your busy life, and we want you to know that your time is important to us too. This machine not only shortens your time in the office, but it prevents the need to come back again, as well as gives you perfect (superior fitting) restorations that fit well and look great, without being made from hazardous materials, all in just one visit!
Typical creation and implementation of crowns, veneers, and various other restorations would require at least two visits to your dentist, sometimes more. After that you would then have two more weeks of turn-around time to wait before the job was complete! With the new CAD/CAM technology you are able to relax in the office while the restorations are created for you on the spot.
If you are in need of any form of dental restoration or repair work you may be eligible for a CEREC restoration. From crowns to bridges CEREC can benefit you by saving you time and money. Most procedures can be done in one visit, and they last longer, and are made with safe materials for your overall health.
The benefits of CAD/CAM Technology are endless.
- More Convenient: CAD/CAM technology lets us do your impressions, and create and implement custom-fit restorations in just one visit to our office.
- More Comfortable: You do not have to have a mouth full of gel and gross impression trays to get a restoration done. With a simple digital impression you get what you came for without the mess and discomfort.
- More of a Custom Fit: With the CAD/CAM technology, we are able to control everything in the creation of restorations from the beginning to the end. That way they are created with precision for your unique bite.
- More Aesthetically Pleasing: We make sure we use nothing but the best materials in our practice, so high-quality porcelain restorations will be used to create a natural look that blends well with your teeth.
